Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use this site or buy a seat at one of my events. Buying a seat means you accept them. I am a sole operator, so “I” means Vince Chafin.

What you are buying

A place in a live experience, in the room, on the dates stated on the event page. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Travel, lodging, and meals are yours unless the event page says otherwise. Seat counts on event pages are kept by hand, so on rare occasions a place may sell out between your page load and your payment. If that happens I refund you in full the same day.

Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details never touch this site. Your place is confirmed when the payment clears, and you get an email from me.

Refunds and transfers

Seats are non-refundable, and transferable. If you cannot make it, tell me at least 14 days before the start date and I will move you to the next run of the same event, or let you pass your place to someone else. Inside 14 days I hold the seat for you for 12 months instead. If I cancel or move an event, you choose between a full refund and the new date.

If I have to change something

Venues, schedules, and co-facilitators can change. If the substance of what you bought changes, you get the choice above. I am not liable for your travel costs, so book flexible where you can.

The nature of the work, and your responsibility

My events are educational and experiential. They are not therapy, not medical or psychological treatment, and not a substitute for either. I am not a licensed therapist and nothing I offer diagnoses or treats a condition. If you are under care for a mental health condition, talk to your provider before you come.

The work asks something of you physically and emotionally. You take part by your own choice and at your own risk, you are responsible for your own wellbeing in the room, and you agree to follow the safety instructions given by me and my team. Tell me in advance about anything that affects your ability to take part.

Confidentiality in the room

What people share in the room stays in the room. That holds for you as much as for me. Recording, photographing, or filming other participants without their explicit consent is not permitted.

Conduct

I can decline or end anyone's participation, at my discretion, for conduct that puts other people in the room at risk. Where that happens before the event, you are refunded.

No guarantee of outcome

I do not promise a specific result. What you get out of the work depends on what you bring to it. Testimonials on this site describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of yours.

My material

The writing, recordings, images, frameworks, and terminology on this site and in my events are mine. You are welcome to use what you learn in your own life and your own practice. You may not copy, resell, or teach my material as a program of your own without my written permission.

Liability

Where the law allows me to limit it, my liability to you is capped at what you paid me. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
